In accordance with principles of TEFL,
Saxoncourt Examinations
expanded the concept of STYLE / JET, and invited
experts from Europe, America and Asia to design
an exam system for children studying EFL.
This exam has been taken in over 30 countries
including Japan, Korea, France, Italy, Poland,
Germany and Greece. |

1. Already over 800,000 candidates
have taken these exams, and over 6,000 educational
groups have
participated in it. We were the first
organization in Taiwan to provide such examinations.
2. The
exams are designed for students from seven
to seventeen years old.
3. The
exam topics relate to examinees' life experiences.
4. Each
part of the exam has clear bilingual explanation.
5. We
provide a breakdown of achievement. We have
two kinds of report: one is for teachers,
and the other is
for students.
Attending on international English examination
can help teachers and parents assess a student's
learning progress, and parents will know
how their child's teacher has performed

Who
Can Take the Test ? |
1. 6 to17 year-olds, who study
at elementary, junior high or senior high
school.
2. Young learners who have studied English
for at least one year for three hours per
week. |

1. We hold the examinations
twice a year, in April and November.
2. Main test venues are in Taipei, Kaohsiung,
Taichung and Hualien…etc.
3. We accept applications from school to hold
STYLE / JET examinations. |

Sections |
1. Listening Section: Following
instructions from a CD and answering questions.
The listening
scripts are adapted
from daily dialogues. Standard English pronunciation
is used.
2. Reading Section: Answering questions after
reading a chart or a short passage based on
educational materials or
situations in daily life. Basic and common
sentence structures are used.

Issue of Reports and Certificates
of Achievement:

3. Those who pass the test will
receive a certificate of achievement.
Those who do not pass will
receive
a certificate of participation.
4. Candidates who achieve a perfect
score will receive a gift.
5. Registered groups can receive
a group report.
6. A special group performance
certificate is issued to honor
high-performing groups. To qualify
for
this certificate, a group must
have 20 or more candidates. Of
whom 80% must receive
passing
grades.
7. If the English certificate
is lost or if the candidate wants
to change the name appearing on
the
certificate,
a new one can be issued for NT$
300.
8. If the candidate wishes to
apply for an extra performance
certificate, it can be issued
for
NT$100. |

want to verify their test results

On
the Date of the Test: |
1. All information,
including the test location and test
time, is stipulated based on the registration
voucher.
2. Candidates must
arrive at the test location no later
than 30 minutes prior to the start of
the test. Candidates
will not be allowed to enter the test
room more than ten minutes
after the test has
started. Candidates must be quiet while
waiting in line to enter the
test room, and must
follow the instructions of the test
administration staff.

Test
Regulations: |
1. Candidates must
bring their own pencils, eraser and
registration voucher into the waiting
area. Those
without
their registration voucher will not
be allowed to take the test. No personal
belongings will be
allowed
in the test room.
2. If one of the test administration
staff discovers that a candidate is
sitting the wrong level or attending
the
wrong test session,
the candidate must leave the test room
immediately. His / her grade will not
be
recorded, and he / she cannot have a
refund or take the test again.
3. Candidates whose identity does not
match that appearing on the registration
voucher will not
be
allowed to take the test
4. Cheating in any form is absolutely
prohibited. Any candidate caught cheating
will have his / her test
paper
confiscated immediately. Candidates
may not disturb other test-takers during
the test.
5. Candidates must stop writing when
the time is up. They may only leave
the classroom with the test
proctor's
permission.
6. Teachers and parents are
not allowed to stay in the waiting area
or the test room. After
the test begins,
parents should wait for their children
in the exit area.
7. On the day of the test, the organizers
will provide get NT$ 10, 000, 000 insurance
for all candidates.
8. All business activities, including
attempting to enroll students or selling,
are strictly prohibited in
the
test premises.
9. If candidates needs a reissued registration
voucher, he / she must bring a photo
or photographic proof
of
identity ( eg. ID, insurance card, student
card,). |
